Recipe: Classic Egg Salad Sandwich Recipe – Your New Go-To Lunch!
Ingredients
  • 8 large eggs,
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise,
  • 1 tablespoon mustard,
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery,
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives,
  • Salt and pepper to taste,
  • 8 slices of your favorite bread,
  • Lettuce leaves (optional),
  • Slices of tomato (optional),
Instructions
Boil the Eggs

Place eggs in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 12 minutes. Transfer eggs to a cold water bath to cool.

Prepare the Egg Salad

Peel the cooled eggs and chop finely. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped eggs with mayonnaise, mustard, celery, chives, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.

Assemble the Sandwich

Toast the bread slices if desired. Spread the egg salad evenly onto 4 slices of bread. If using, add lettuce and slices of tomato on top of the egg salad before covering with the remaining slices of bread. Cut sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
